ANCHEER Electric Bike Review: Reliable and Affordable Option

After realizing that the previous bicycles of our twin sons, both around 5 feet tall, had been outgrown, the search for an upgrade began. Key features such as front suspension, 21-speed gears, and disc brakes were considered, but the costs of conventional bikes exceeded $350 from various vendors. This led us to explore the option of transitioning to e-bikes, considering their range and ease of riding. The ANCHEER Electric Bikes, available on Amazon, caught our attention, and we decided to make the purchase.

Placing an order for two bikes, we received both in a single shipment, but there was an issue with the delivery from FedEx. Initially, only one bike arrived, prompting us to contact the Zaplue support team. They promptly resolved the situation by confirming that the second bike was on its way and, indeed, it arrived a few days later. Ultimately, it was a mistake on FedEx’s part, not Zaplue’s.

ANCHEER Bike Review

Putting together the first bike was a relatively straightforward process, taking approximately 45 minutes. The instructions provided were clear, and most of the bike was pre-assembled, requiring only the installation of front brakes, front wheel, pedals, seat, and minor items. The provided tools were sufficient for the task, although using slightly better tools from home, especially hex wrenches, might make the process even smoother. The assembly of the second bike took less than 30 minutes, thanks to familiarity with the process gained from the first assembly.

The enjoyment factor kicked in when we took the bikes for a ride. The ANCHEER Electric Bikes offer two options: pedal assist with multiple levels (1-5) or a throttle on the right handlebar, akin to a motorcycle, providing full-electric power without pedal assistance. This feature is particularly useful for conquering steep hills, especially when starting from a complete stop. The pedal assist delivers a quick power boost shortly after starting to pedal, facilitating easy acceleration. Surprisingly, staying in 21st gear without the need for frequent changes became the norm. The battery life exceeded expectations, lasting over 20 miles before requiring a recharge.
