Why I Chose Sixthreezero over Other Comfort Bikes

After seven years of loyal companionship with my SUN “comfort” bike, the time came for a change. Faced with the challenge of finding available bikes, I opted for the Sixthreezero due to its accessibility and reasonable pricing.
The bike arrived at my doorstep partially assembled, and I easily completed the assembly process. Despite purchasing it on Amazon, I discovered an option for an extended warranty on the Sixthreezero website. However, choosing this route incurred an additional $20 compared to buying directly from the website.
Kudos to the Amazon seller for their excellent service – the bike arrived swiftly and in impeccable condition. With a solid build and quality materials, the Sixthreezero bike promised a delightful riding experience, complemented by its attractive coral color.

A Shift in Design

The only hiccup arose from a notable design difference. Unlike my SUN bike, the Sixthreezero featured a slanted seat post with pedals attached directly below it. This adjustment altered the feel of pedaling, highlighting the departure from the traditional comfort/cruiser bike design.
At a height of 5’6″, the lower center bar of the Sixthreezero allowed me to stand over the bike comfortably. However, the absence of an easy entry center bar made mounting the bike a challenge, requiring a somewhat awkward slant and leg swing.

Beyond the bike itself, the online Sixthreezero community adds a unique dimension, fostering a sense of camaraderie among bikers.

Final Verdict

The Sixthreezero bike stands out as a commendable and enjoyable choice, offering practicality and affordability. However, potential buyers should be aware of the design distinctions, particularly if transitioning from an older comfort/cruiser bike. Embracing change comes with its nuances, but the Sixthreezero journey proves to be a worthy one.
