Sixthreezero Around the Block Bicycle Review and Ride Impressions

Having recently experienced the unfortunate loss of my bicycle (permanently borrowed, or rather, stolen), I sought a replacement that wouldn’t break the bank. Enter the Around the Block Bicycle – an affordable option that piqued my interest, especially when compared to high-end models like Giant, Mongoose, and Specialized.

Aesthetics and Durability:

The bike boasts a pleasant aesthetic with well-applied and durable paint. Surprisingly, it comes equipped with a back bike rack, adding practicality to its charm. Contrary to expectations, it feels lighter than anticipated, and the seven gears provide versatile riding options.

Tire and Wheel Features:

The tires not only look good but also offer stability. Upon arrival, the wheels were perfectly true, and all components were intact. The initial inspection revealed a well-crafted and intact bike.

Noteworthy Features:

Highlighted features include center pull brakes, a rotating handle shifter, a built-in bike rack, and the inclusion of wheel and front/rear reflectors.

Assembly and Packaging:

The bike is relatively easy to unpack, with a substantial portion preassembled for convenience. The sturdy packaging ensured the bike’s safe arrival promptly after placing the order.

Minor Adjustments:

While the bike largely met expectations, there were some quirks to address. The brakes, though effective, emitted an ear-piercing squeak, which I’ve chosen to view as a built-in braking horn. With some fiddling, I hope to mitigate this issue. Additionally, adjusting the shift cable resolved any initial hiccups.

The Around the Block Bicycle has earned my approval and recommendation to potential buyers. Despite minor issues that can be addressed through fiddling, its affordability, ease of assembly, sturdiness, and overall joy factor contribute to a well-deserved 5-star rating.
