I recently acquired the Oraimo Electric Bike, and my initial impressions are positive, earning it a 4-star rating. While it’s too early to comment on the bicycle’s long-term durability, several aspects have caught my attention.
Having desired an E-bike since last summer, I seized the opportunity to purchase this model at a $100 discount from its original price. Given the plethora of bikes available in the market, I found the sale to be a compelling reason to try out this particular model, especially considering the budget-friendly offer.
One common concern raised in online reviews was the battery’s stability on the mount. Contrary to these remarks, upon securing the battery onto the bike, I observed no movement. Even on the rough gravel roads in my area, notorious for their uneven surface, the battery remained firmly in place without any rattling or jiggling.
Enjoyable Riding Experience
Standing at 5’7″ and weighing 220 pounds, I was in search of a bike that would make cycling enjoyable despite my poor physical condition. This E-bike delivered on the fun factor, exhibiting peppy acceleration on both throttle and pedal assist. The initial burst of speed gave way to a remarkably smooth ride once I gained momentum.
During my first ride, covering 11 miles in an hour primarily using full throttle at 20 mph, I found the battery performance commendable. Even after this relatively demanding usage, the battery still had three bars left upon returning home. Moreover, the bike’s pedal-power capabilities reassured me that running out of battery wouldn’t leave me stranded.
Lightweight and Convenient Design
Remarkably light for an electric bike, handling and transporting the Oraimo Electric Bike, even with the battery attached, proved to be quite manageable. Negotiating a few stairs to my front porch was surprisingly easy.
Assembling the bike required some assistance from Oraimo’s instructional video. I encountered a moment of confusion regarding plastic protective covers on the front tire and axle. As someone with minimal experience in bike assembly, I appreciated the visual guidance provided.
Despite the bike’s affordable price, the ride was surprisingly comfortable. The absence of hand tingling or loss of feeling, a common issue for me with other bikes, added to the overall positive experience. Additionally, the company’s offer of a complimentary 2-year warranty provides a reassuring layer of confidence for those investing in this more budget-friendly ride.
Final Thoughts
While I’m withholding a final judgment until I’ve had more extensive experience with the Oraimo Electric Bike, my initial impressions are promising. I anticipate having a lot of fun throughout the summer and fall, eagerly looking forward to my next ride.
